Data Collection

Hidefy does not collect, store, or process any personal data from merchants or from store visitors and customers.

The app and its theme extension operate within the merchant's Shopify store. No visitor or customer information is transmitted to Hidefy or to third parties for tracking or analytics.

How Hidefy Works

Hidefy is a Shopify app that lets merchants control what store visitors see on the storefront:

• Content visibility: Merchants can hide prices, the buy button, and the cart. This is useful for B2B, wholesale, or login-only storefronts.
• Theme extension: Visibility is applied via a theme app embed that runs in the merchant's theme. Behaviour is driven by the merchant's app settings.
• No visitor data: Hidefy does not collect data from store visitors or customers. No external tracking or analytics are used for visitors.

Merchant Data

The only data processed by Hidefy relates to the installing merchant and the app's operation:

• Shop identification (e.g. shop domain) for authentication and app configuration
• App settings (e.g. hide prices, hide buy button, hide cart) used to control storefront behaviour
• Subscription and billing information provided by Shopify in connection with the app

This data is stored securely and used only to deliver and operate the app.

Data Security

We apply suitable measures to protect the data we process:

• Data encrypted in transit and at rest where applicable
• Regular updates and monitoring of the app and infrastructure
• Access controls and secure hosting
• Hosting on infrastructure that follows common security practices

Third-Party Services

Hidefy uses:

• Shopify: For app installation, authentication, billing, and shop context. Shopify's data practices are governed by its own policies and commitments (including GDPR where applicable).
• Fly.io: For hosting and running the app. Fly.io is used in line with standard security and operations practices.

We choose services that align with common privacy and security expectations (including, where relevant, GDPR-style obligations).

Your Rights

As a merchant using Hidefy, you have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request data portability where technically feasible
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Data Retention

We keep data only as long as needed:

• Active use: While your subscription is active and you use the app
• After cancellation: We retain shop-related app data only as long as necessary to operate the app and meet legal obligations (e.g. typically no longer than needed after uninstall, unless the law requires otherwise)
• Billing and legal: Billing and other records may be kept as required by law (e.g. up to 7 years where applicable)

Cookies and Tracking

Hidefy does not set cookies or use other tracking technologies on storefront visitors. The theme extension does not collect or send visitor data.
